Privacy policy

This policy explains how RelaxMix (the app) and this website handle information. It is published by callmepickle ("we", "us"), and who decides why and how the information described below is used.

The short version

• There is no account and no sign-in.
• The app shows no advertising and does not sell your information.
• Your saved mixes stay on your device.
• The app uses Google Firebase for push notifications and for usage analytics, which involves device identifiers.

Who can use RelaxMix

RelaxMix is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will help remove any related data.

Information we handle

Stored only on your device

• Your saved mixes, including every volume and 3D position.
• Whether you have finished the welcome screens.

We never receive this. Deleting the app deletes it.

Collected through Google Firebase

The app uses Firebase services provided by Google. When you use the app, Firebase may collect the following, which counts as personal data in many countries because it is linked to your device:

• Identifiers. A random app-instance ID, and the Android Advertising ID if it is available on your device. We do not use the Advertising ID to show ads. See "Your choices and rights" below to reset or remove it.
• Device and app details. Device model, operating system and version, app version, language, and the approximate country or region worked out from your IP address.
• Usage events. Automatic events such as first open, session start and length, and technical events such as app updates and removals.
• Notification token. If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging gives your device a token so that news and reminders can reach it.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos or microphone input.

Why we use it

• To understand how the app is used, to find and fix problems, and to decide what to improve (analytics).
• To deliver notifications you have allowed (Cloud Messaging).

Our legal basis

Where privacy law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interest in running and improving a reliable app. Where the law requires your consent before information is read from or stored on your device, we ask for it. Notifications are only sent if you grant the permission your device asks for, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Who receives it

Google acts on our behalf to process this data under its Firebase data processing terms. See also Google's Firebase privacy information. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.

International transfers

Google may process this data in the United States and other countries where it operates. Google relies on approved safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Analytics data about individual devices is kept for the retention period set in our Firebase project, which is at most 14 months. Aggregated statistics that do not identify you may be kept longer. Notification tokens are kept until the app is uninstalled or the token expires.

Your choices and rights

• Notifications. Turn them off in your device settings at any time.
• Advertising ID. On Android you can delete or reset it under Settings, Google, Ads.
• Analytics. The app does not yet have its own on and off switch for analytics. Uninstalling the app stops collection.
• Your rights. Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and several US state laws, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict its use, to receive a copy of it, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

To make a request, email relaxmixapp@gmail.com. Because we cannot identify you from our data alone, we may ask you for your device's app-instance ID or other details to find your records.

This website

This website is a static page. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and request times, for security and operations.

Security

Data sent to Firebase travels over encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use information in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and, where the change is significant, say so in the app or on this page before it takes effect.
